Paying for Tickets

If you receive a ticket for parking at an expired meter, you must pay $25.00 within 14 days. You have the following payment options:

  1. By Mail: Send a check (or money order) payable to the Providence Municipal Court. Write the ticket number on your payment, and include the actual ticket whenever possible.  If you no longer have your ticket, write the vehicle’s state and license plate number on your check or money order. Send to: Providence Municipal Court, 325 Washington Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02903.
  2. Online: Go to the city’s website. On the right side of the homepage, you’ll see a “Top Requested” section. In the “Payments” section, you’ll find “Parking Tickets” on the second line. Click there to be redirected to the city’s online ticket payment system.  Follow the directions to enter your ticket number and credit card information. Please note that you will be charged a $3.00 convenience fee per transaction. Online payments may take time to post. Therefore, if you have 5 or more tickets, it may take up to 24 hours for your name to be removed from the boot list.
  3. By Phone: Call (866) 263-0475 to pay for your ticket by phone using a credit card or personal check. Please have your ticket information available when you call.
  4. In Person: You may pay at the cashier window at Providence Municipal Court in the Public Safety Complex during regular business hours (7:30am – 3pm, Sept-June. 7:30am – 2:30pm, July and August). The building is located at 325 Washington between Dean Street and John J. Partington Way. Call (401) 243-6414 with any questions.
